		+	\|description=A Den-Realm is a special area where a Bastet and the land have become one. These areas are fiercely guarded by the Bastet, and are owned by individuals, not prides. In this area, the animals and plants know the cat well, and the sanctuary reaches into the Near Umbra, creating a mini-Realm. Cats need territory, and one of an Aka's first quests is to find one... but in the modern world, this is harder and harder, making this Background extremely valuable. Only Tilau (rank 3) cats are considered worthy of learning the rite to create a Den-Realm. Lower ranked cats are very unlikely to have one, but it's vaguely possible that an older, dying cat might have performed the rite to pass it on to a youngster. As one might expect, urban Den-Realms are remarkably hard to establish and keep.

		+	In a Den-Realm, the owner may step sideways or peek at any time, without a reflective surface, as if the Gauntlet were three. By touching up to two other beings, the Bastet may take them along. Once per scene per current Gnosis, with a Gnosis roll at difficulty 6, the Bastet may 'skip' — disappear in a leap and then emerge from any solid object on the next turn. Failure turns it into a normal leap; botching leaves you stuck mid-leap until that next turn, when you can try again. Because of the bond with the land, any large problem there (such as umbral attacks, massacres, bulldozers, or the like) gives the owner a cold bolt of pain which lingers until it is investigated. The problem can be located and some idea of what it is obtained via a Perception+Den-Realm roll (difficulty 8). A Bastet can always find his way back to his Den Realm.
