His lips are full and his nose straight and long, hinting perhaps at eastern Europe. He wears large hoop earrings in both ears, and a suggestion of dark shadow against the medium-light skin of his scalp is the only hint at the color of his hair; his head is shaved bald, leaving him nothing to hide behind. He carries himself with such an air of easy self-possession that one could be forgiven for failing to notice that he is surprisingly thin. Long, slim hands are well-worn, fingertips hard with calluses.''
