Description

Most of the streetscape here seems to be comprised of small shops and parking lots for the University of New Mexico. A shuttle to the campus runs through here every fifteen minutes. Toward the east, putters wander through the North Golf Course at UNM, while slightly to the north, the Carrie Tingley Children's Hospital can be seen. Foot traffic both to and from campus is quite heavy in this area, which is mostly residential.

Large numbers of substantial brick homes and wood frame, California-style bungalows vie for space here with the frame-stucco modified pueblo revival houses common throughout the city. Neatly trimmed green lawns are a testament to the area's upward mobility. The tree-lined sidewalks running alongside the street are swept clean daily. In general, this area seems placid and stable.
