Description

The haphazard quality of much of Montgomery Blvd. becomes rather evident here, at its intersection with Wyoming Blvd. A nondescript conglomerate of commercial, public, and residential buildings has sprung up, tipping the feel of the area from suburban into urban. The traffic toward the west increases in density and the various houses are set close together. Still, there is definitely a rural feel toward the east, where mature pinon trees line the sidewalks, shadowing structures built primarily in the style of Spanish Pueblo.

At the corner of the two thoroughfares, there is the Montgomery Crossing Shopping Center, which contains a Target, several medical offices, and a number of small businesses. There are a number of popular restaurants in the area, including Yen Ching, a Chinese place on the southeast corner, and Shalimar, which serves up Indian food on the north side of Montgomery.
