An 12th generation Malkavian with 1 Dot in Generation is buying Dementation.
Dementation 1 costs: 10XP.
Dementation 2 costs: Current level (1) x In-clan cost (5) = 5XP.
Now they want Dementation 3. Since 3 is greater than Generation Dots +1 (1+1=2) -- cost is doubled. So,
Dementia 3 costs: Current level (2) x In-clan cost (5) x2 = 20XP.
Dementation 4 also costs them double so,
Dementia 4 costs: Current level (3) x In-clan cost (5) x2 = 30XP
Now they want Dementatia 5. Since 5 is more than twice the value of Generation Dots + 1 (2x(Gen+1) = 2x(1+1) = 4) it will cost them 3x as much, instead of 2x as much. So,
Dementia 5 cost: Current level (4) x In-clan cost (5) x3 = 60XP
