Randall Planck is the author of the 2007 young-adult urban fantasy novel "Pigeon Day", where a band of witches attempt to take over New York City with an army of dominated birds. They are stopped when the main character leads a friendly band of trolls (who live in the sewers) in an attack on the witches' secret hideout beneath Central Park, where they had relocated an ancient henge from Europe. While not a masterpiece by any means, it was a moderate success as light reading.
He also has a few short stories in the occasional genre anthology or periodical.
