Starting in IC January:
The Division of Continuing Education at UNM announced today that noted paranormal investigator Steve Montana will be teaching a course this spring semester as part of its Personal Enrichment curriculum. Mr. Montana, who serves as a consultant and executive producer of SyFy's popular "Ghost Hunters" TV show, will also be presenting a series of lectures on
selected topics.
Mr. Montana's course will be available as a 1-credit elective to enrolled UNM
students, as well as a non-credit option to members of the community via
Continuing Education. Please see the online course catalogue for additional details.
Spring Semester 2012 Continuing Education Course—Introduction to Paranormal Investigation (1
credit / no-credit)
Explore the fundamentals of ghost hunting and paranormal phenomena, including
the use of equipment and software, and how culture influences evidence. From
understanding the role of spirits in different cultures to getting hands-on
experience in investigative techniques and practices including Electronic
Voice Phenomenon, participants will be immersed in a multidisciplinary
approach to studying the unknown. Taught by noted paranormal investigator
Steve Montana, the course will include classroom instruction, visits to known
"haunted" local sites and will culminate with a real "field investigation"
outside the classroom.
