The Masquerade is a text-based online role-playing game (RPG). It is based on White Wolf's table-top role-playing games such as Vampire: the Masquerade and Werewolf: the Apocalypse. The game is set in White-Wolf's the "old" World of Darkness [oWoD].
The Masquerade has been around in one form or another since 1994[?]. Its current incarnation started in 2010.
The game itself uses the tinyMUX version 2.7 and can be found at masq.org:9999.
To play the game, you would need to telnet to the game's address, or for a better experience use a MU* client such as SimpleMU* or MUSHClient.
