Despite everything one hears about globalization, different places insist on still having different cultures. Even different areas or different classes in the same city may have cultures that differ in important and possibly unexpected ways. Luckily, this is one of the areas of your expertise. You know the manners, morality, methods, and other aspects of the cultures you're dealing with, and what you need to change or watch out for. Given time to study, you can learn enough about a new-to-you culture to avoid making a fool of yourself or deeply offending those around you. Not only does this cover the structures of a culture, but also the reasons behind them.
