Fame! You're gonna live forever — or at least get some of your drinks comped. Maybe you're an entertainer, a politician, an athlete, a writer... whatever your specialty, people know you and they know your work. This has its rewards and its problems: you attract an awful lot of attention, even when you'd rather lie low, but you enjoy certain privileges, perhaps chief among them the ability to influence public opinion. You're invited to parties and other events, you can get appointments with the elite, you're given gifts and discounts... and it's much more difficult for some enemy to make you disappear without plenty of people taking notice. On the other hand, it's harder to keep your secrets when people have decided that even what you eat for breakfast is interesting information.

For vampires, the fact that people want to be near you makes it easier to hunt in populated areas. Each dot of Fame reduces the difficulty of the hunting roll by 1. If you're lucky, staff might also let you reduce the difficulty of social rolls when particularly starstruck people are involved.
