Zoie - Kiva Chat 3/Log

From Masq

From the back of the store comes Zoie with some cleaning items. She's singing to the soft music that can be overheard as she skips in from the back. Her green eyes move about the store to see if any customers are about.

Vincent is sitting at the counter, sipping on a cup of coffee...and enjoying the place.

Zoie sprays down the counter with something most likely non-toxic and environmentally friendly. Then she moves over with a smile. "Hi." It's a chipper sound.

Vincent nods "yes, I had one that Liane made yesterday..rather interesting flavor but good.'

Zoie nods her head to that. "Interesting flavor? Well Liane is enjoying her cooking." She bounces a moment on her toes before stopping to look around the area and then back.

Vincent nods "She is good..and your just bouncey today aren't you?'

Zoie blushes a bit and lowers her lashes over her eyes. "I um.. I tend to be in a good mood most times. I um... is that a bad thing?"

Vincent shakes his head "No, rather impressive considering.

Zoie lowers her brows in confusion. "Considering?" The greens of her eyes only seem to play up her confusion even more. The girl tips her head to one side much like a confused puppy.

Vincent says, "The crime..bad things going on...etc....;"

Zoie seems to deflate at the mention of that. "Crime? Bad things?" Maybe she doesn't read the paper or watch the news. "What kind of bad things?"

Vincent says, "you don't read the papers or watch the tv..'he blinks a few times 'Nevermind..maybe I should stop doing that..'"

Zoie lowers her brows. "What makes you think I don't do that? I totally read the comics." She tips her head. "I just.. um... is it really bad?"

Vincent grins brightly 'Just stick to the comics.'

Zoie nods her head a bit unconvinced by this and less bouncy.

Vincent sighs "Uhm..I do wonder something though.

Zoie smiles and looks up to that. "What do you wonder? I'm new to the job here, but I might know the answer. If not I can get one of the Kings to get back to you."

Vincent takes a sip of coffee 'Your ..."he shakes his head "naw..nevermind..stupid question.'

Zoie smoothes her fingers through her hair before tucking it behind her right ear. "I'm what? No, go ahead. It's okay."

Vincent says, "You old enough to be working? "he says in a way that isn't entirely sounding like the original question he was going to ask "Curiousity and all.;'"

Zoie blushes and looks herself over. "I go to the university, so I think I'm old enough to work here." There is a laugh. "It's not like they sell alcohol so that there must be an age restriction and I'm definitely older than sixteen." She looks back and smiles. "What about you? Are you old enough to be working?"

Vincent grins 'I graduated from MIT about a year ago..or two.' Zoie nods her head. "What do you do now? I mean, like, what did you major in and stuff?"

Vincent says, "I work in a junk yard..and I majored in robotics."

Zoie lowers her brows to that bit of information. "Are there robots in the junk yard?"

Vincent grins "After I'm finished making them...yes.'

Zoie chuckles to that. "So what do you do with garage yard robots?"

Vincent says, "I'm working for the city by making spy bots for their police and fire departments.'"

Zoie lowers her brows. "Spy bots? OH! OH!" She hops up and down and gives a soft squeal. "You mean like James Bond bots?"

Vincent nods "More like I tend to make bots that can see if and where people are in a room..and soon to deliver a flash bang grenade.'

Zoie frowns to this bit of information. "Why would you want it to flash bang and see where people are? I mean it's good to know who's around, but wouldn't a grenade hurt people?"

Vincent says, "No..just blind them and deafen them for a short period of time."

Zoie puts her fingers to her mouth and she looks like she might actually cry at that. "Why? Why would you do that to another person?"

Vincent says, "Cause the other person is a bad person that has done something very wrong."

Zoie shakes her head a bit. "So you think it is okay to do something bad to them? Doesn't that just make you just like them?"

Vincent sighs "By stunning someone it might make it so that no one else gets hurt..baddly.

Zoie pouts in a true bleeding heart fashion. "I think it sounds mean."

Vincent says, "Stun one..or have several get shot and maybe killed?"

Zoie looks uncertain how to answer. It's almost like she can't fathom hurting another person. "I suppose. It just seems all mean and not right, you know?"

Vincent nods "It kinda sucks..but I rather the cops and the robbers all make their way safe and sound to the station.

Zoie nods her head. "Can we talk about something else?"

Vincent nods "Sure..pick a subject.'

Zoie thinks. "Kittens?"

Vincent smiles "Love them..cute..cuddly..saddly they don't like me all that much.'

Zoie perks to the change in subject. Kittens aren't bad. "Oh, are you allergic to them?"

Vincent thinks abit on how to answer this one "Uhm...yeah that will work..allergic.'

Zoie lifts her brows to that one. "You aren't really allergic? Then why don't they like you?"

Vincent says, "I howl at the moon sometimes?"

Zoie laughs. "Howling at the moon doesn't make cats not like you." She puts her head back and gives a humanistic howl. Then giggles. "Kittens will still like me."

Vincent gives a howl and his isn't nearly as human as yours, then he smiles "bow wow baby.' then he takes another sip from his cup

Zoie looks suitably impressed. "You totally howl like one of those monster movies."

Vincent nods "I've had plenty of practice..but I refuse to be called a monster..even though I can be one..'

Zoie looks embarrassed. "I wasn't calling you a monster. You know in the movies where they have the man that becomes the half man and half wolf thing?"

Vincent says, "Loup-garou, werewolf, wolfwere.....yeah..I know."

Zoie nods. "That is what I'm talking about. Them not you."

Vincent smiles and drinks his coffee "are you sure?"

Zoie smiles. "Are you saying that you are one of them?"

Vincent says, "You didn't react to something and it got me curious..'"

Zoie looks around the area and back to him. "What didn't I react to?"

Vincent chuckles "That I can't entirely get into.'

Zoie smiles and leans on the bar a bit as she watches him. "Come on, what didn't I react to?"

Vincent smiles innocently "My rage."

Zoie lowers her brows a bit to that. "Like.. your anger? Were you mad at me?"

Vincent shakes his head "Not angry at you..and it..is..complicated.'

Zoie smiles sweetly. "Well make it less complicated? I can understand things that are complicated." Vincent says, "A tie to the moon.."

Zoie shakes her head a bit. "Oh! Oh I get it. You are like one of those new agers. The ones that think the lunar cycles alter our um.. moods and stuff. Or is it the water cycles? Or is it the horoscopes?"

Vincent chuckles "That is right..you like that kinda stuff?'

Zoie shrugs her shoulders. "I don't know. I mean it seems cool and stuff, you know."

Vincent nods "So what do you follow?'

Zoie chews her lower lip as she thinks it over. Her vibrant green eyes roll heavenwards. "You know.. I don't know. I've never really thought about it before." She grins a bit more to him.

Vincent chuckles "Well..that is that huh?

Zoie nods her head. "I guess it is." She grins. "Can I get you another cup of coffee or something?"

Vincent shakes his head "no..I really should be heading out...but I have enjoyed our chat.'

Zoie smiles to that. "I have too, thanks for coming in."
