On the cusp of its intersection with Montgomery/Montano Blvd, which lies just north of here, University Avenue loses none of its rusticity. The road is overshadowed by large trees which look quite old and gnarled and the sidewalk is dotted with sprouting weeds and flowers. There's a kind of somnolence around this area, with only the occasional car breaking up the silence. During the day, children play in the street; at night, the area is almost eerily quiet.
