Montgomery Blvd: 100 East -- Albuquerque

A shopping district which attracts both city residents and out-of-towners, this part of Montgomery is dotted with large, expensive hotels and fabulously elegant stores and boutiques. These beautiful buildings are a testament to the well-designed urban environment of the area; created through a thoughtful interaction of architecture and aesthetics, they contribute to an atmosphere of comfortable affluence. Despite the aura of grandeur, this is a favorite urban walking experience in Albuquerque, perhaps because so many shopkeepers and other pedestrians seem to project a feeling of warmth, a human scale that makes people feel good.

Arts, entertainment, and fine dining are all found here in equal measure. A large white building with rustic red adobe roof-tiling houses the Casablanca, an award-winning restaurant in an atmosphere of casual elegance.
