Description

With Old Town just a few blocks west, Lomas becomes less corporate and more colorful. Restaurants, shops, and tourist boutiques crowd the busy street, brimming over with overflow tourist traffic. Street parking is often a hot commodity as visitors and locals angle for choice spots. Among the diversity of shops and cafes, a popular testament to homogeneity remains the Hard Rock Cafe Albuquerque.

However, the Federal Buildings to the east still exert their subtle influence over the area via the abundance of small office complexes. Adobe buildings mix with brick structures in a hodgepodge of styles. There are a few private residences tucked away here and there, their landscaped lawns a contrast to the browns and tans all around, but these dwellings are a vanishing breed.
