A Glimpse Within Kerian is a transplant from the Seattle area where he spent most of his formative years climbing all over the Cascades in his 'backyard', and moved to Alberquerque in 2000 after the death of his wife and a court settlement that forced him to surrender custody of his daughter to other family members. Since his arrival, he has thrown himself into the cause of stopping all mining on Mt. Taylor and repairing the damage done, and if you're someone with knowledge in that area, he's actually provided significant data that succeeded in placing limits on the current mining operations. He drives a battered classic Jeep complete with canvas top that has certainly seen better days and is one of the few of its kind that has all of the mountaneering accessories and looks like they see regular, actual use. Don't get him started talking about rocks and formations or some of the toys he uses to monitor them unless you want to get put to sleep. Physical Description Kerian stands about six and a half feet tall, and while he certainly isn't a ripped example of a fit human being, his outward appearance indicates this is someone that's spent most of their life outside and has the well-toned-ness to show for it. Hair that was once solid brown is now kept cut short to contain the salt-and-pepper grey and white that has started to creep in on him, and well out of his blue-green eyes. His face and visible skin bear the tan accumulated with much sunworshipping, and on closer inspection, he bears the scratches, callouses, and scars of someone that goes climbing as often as city dwellers go walking. Kerian currently has on a battered pair of khaki pants festooned with cargo pockets, the legs stuffed into a pair of hiking boots that have certainly seen better days. He has on a plain brown t-shirt under a heavier jacket that bears a 'USGS' patch on the arm and the last name 'DAVIS' above the right breast. His hands are usually covered with fingerless climbing gloves that provides extra gripping friction for the palm, but leaves the fingertips free to grasp.
